Centennial Airport Awarded the Balchen/Post Award
For an unprecedented 8th time, Centennial Airport was awarded the prestigious International Balchen/Post award for excellence in the performance of airport snow and ice control. The Award recognizes airports and their operators for their efforts in staying operationally safe in inclement weather conditions. With Centennial Airport having 3 runways and being the second busiest GA airport in the US with nearly 1,000 operations a day, this is no small feat. Congratulations to the members of the 2007-2008 Snow Team!
"The purpose of this award is two-fold: to promote better snow and ice control, and to recognize those individuals responsible for outstanding performance." Northeast Chapter, American Association of Airport Executives
