Airport Board to review Roundtable Membership at April 9th Meeting

Airport staff is continuing to review noise roundtables at other airports across the country.  Staff has been looking at Chicago,  Palomar, Naples, and San Francisco.

On February 4th, Todd Green attended one of the SFO Roundtable meetings to observe how the organization operates.  He spent three days with the Airport's Noise Office Manager, Roundtable Coordinator, and Roundtable Consultant.  These three resources held a great deal of information on how a success Noise Roundtables operates on a day-to-day basis.

Airport Staff chose to attend the San Francisco International Airport/Community (SFO) Roundtable because the SFO Roundtable has been in existence for 27 years ans is by many standards considered one of the most effective roundtables in the US.  The distinguishing feature of the SFO roundtable is that the voting block is made-up of residential communites while the aviation community and airport staff serve as a resource.

So after attending the SFO Roundtable meeting, Airport Staff is trying to incorporate more aspects to the Roundtable before the recommended list is submitted to the Airport Board for Approval.  The Airport Staff has decided to postpone the list submittal until the April 9th Board Meeting.

Because we have postponed the list submittal, the CAC meeting is scheduled on March 10th, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Wright Brothers Room.  If you have any questions feel free to give Todd Green a call at 303-218-2909 or email him at tgreen@centennialairport.com.

We will see you there!
