Roundtable Workshop Scheduled
An interactive Roundtable Workshop has been scheduled for May 12, 2009 at 7PM in place of the regularly scheduled Citizens Advisory Committee. The workshop will be held in the Conference Room at the Hotel Gold Crown, 7770 S. Peoria Street, Englewood, CO 80112.
Mr. Walt Gillfillan, the San Francisco International Airport's roundtable consultant and Centennial Airport's newly selected roundtable consultant, will be facilitating the workshop. The workshop will be an open meeting to ensure that interested members of the public are included. We are also formally inviting Citizen Advisory Committee Members (currently 82 members), elected officials or representatives from the surrounding jurisdictions and counties, airport board members, FAA staff, airport authority staff, and aviation industry representatives.
During this workshop we plan to define a final list of voting members to present to the Airport Board for approaval at the May 14th Board meeting. Once the list of members has been approved by the Airport Board, a Memorandum of Understanding / Letter of Intent / Letter of Participation can be drafted and signed at the next Roundtable meeting by each member to ensure a willingness and interest in participating in the Roundtable effort.
In following meetings, we will start discussing:
1. How to move forward on the approved recommendations from the Part 150 Noise Study.
2. Identify noise impacts in the surrounding communities.
3. Evaluate noise mitigation opportunities.
